This project investigates emotion of disgust and complex kinds of pleasures we take in it. This is important in connection with Product Design, which only focuses on easy, ‘feel good’ experience. Disgust is one of the strongest aversions and yet it exerts a demonic pull of attraction. This project aims to employ disgust as a means of providing complex aesthetic experience.

This project is supported through a MEAD Scholarship awarded by University of the Arts London.

This project was an entry to Progetto Millennio design competition by Bruni Glass. The challenge was to propose new forms of jars for food packaging (314 ml) suitable for production by high volume mechanical hollow glass technology. The jar was in the final shortlist of the competition and presented during SIMEI in Milan, Italy.

This colour portfolio focuses on the works of German Expressionism. The movement known for its energetic gestures, it identified novel, powerful ways of expressive colour arrangement to convey complex ideas. This project aims to uncover these colour formulae, discern their chromatic behaviour charged with emotional significance and develop specific colour palettes.
